Researchers have found children who sleep near a small screen in their room get significantly less sleep and have later bedtimes than children who slept with a TV in their room. While small screens and TV caused similar delays in the onset of sleep, the impact of small screens was greater on the hours of sleep. These findings may have serious implications given the link between sleep, anxiety and depression.
PositiveTip: Small screens and TVs might best be off limits to all children.
