Researchers have found that energy drinks have four times the acidity of sports dirnks and in simulated lab tests erroded 2 times more enamel. Both drinks were found to have lower fluoride levels than the optimum recommended. These findings suggest that if these drinks are consumed daily as a water replacement by adolescents they may not get adequate fluoride and will experience enamel erosion.
PositiveTip: Shun the temptation to drink energy and sports beverages and drink adequate amounts of water.
