You probably already know that drinking alcohol increases risk of liver disease, but did you know that drinking too much plus being overweight dramatically increases it?
When normal weight British women drank 10 servings of wine a week, they increased their risk 170%, but obese women’s risks were increased by 400%. British men who drank 15 or more drinks per week tripled their risk of liver disease, and that risk doubled for overweight men. Men who drank the same amount and were obese saw their risk shoot up by 18 times.
PositiveTip: For the best health, avoid both alcohol and excess food intake!
