A Healthy Waist Circumference Reduces Risk of Dementia

A large study of more than 872,000 Koreans discovered a strong relationship between waist circumference and risk of dementia. After controlling for many factors, researchers found a stepwise increased risk of dementia in both men and women as their waist circumference increased. Low amounts of harmful visceral fat conveyed the lowest risk of dementia.
