2015 U.S. Dietary Guidelines Released

For the first time in the history of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines, teenage boys and men are told to eat less meat, poultry and eggs. Americans are also urged to significantly cut back on added sugar consumption. Long-standing limits on dietary cholesterol are gone–but with strong warnings intact. AICR calls the Guidelines a missed opportunity to advance the cause of cancer prevention, suggesting the government caved to industry pressure.
