Elvin Adams MD, MPH, FACPM

Dr. Adams is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine.  His MPH is from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.  Adams is retired from the position of Medical Director of Tarrant County Public Health in Fort Worth, Texas.  He is the developer of the Best Weigh nutrition and weight loss program.  He is also the author of the Handbook of Health Evangelism and Jesus Was Thin: So You Can Be Thin Too.

Currently, Adams is teaching Seventh-day Adventist churches across Texas to address the epidemic of obesity that has developed in the last 20 years.  He is an elder in his local church and teaches a Sabbath School class.  Marie is his wife of nearly 50 years and they have three grown daughters. 

Adams is an avid gardener and is locally famous for the hundreds of quarts of delicious spaghetti sauce he produces each year.  The Adams enjoy walking for exercise.
